Description

New Account :iconprince-of-pictures:

He is not good
He is not evil
He is not one to try

He is not hope
He is not hate
He is not one to cry

He is only that which remains
From the first to the last
And given form to have fallen

He is harmless in his cage
Even though it only holds his mind...

I really like this photograph. To me it speaks of a cage one is wearing or has chosen to be in rather than a cage someone else has inflicted on you. The boots seem to be there more to ground the figure rather than act as a simple fashion statement alone. I interpret the nudity as symbolic of being exposed and raw, and as a result I see a picture of someone who has trapped himself and is struggling with the situation of his life. Of course, that's my interpretation and the only person who knows for sure what you were thinking when you set up this photograph is you. I think its a beautiful photograph and you did a great job. I'm sorry some people look at your work and decide what you meant by it and then choose to say such judgemental and hurtful things to you about your art and also your life. I felt compelled to say something after reading the harsh and ignorant comments below; not all people who believe in Jesus, who are part of the Body of Christ are as closed minded and judgemental as !man-cool seems to be. Forgive me for being so wordy about something that happened so long ago, I just want you to know not all Christians are like that. Enough of that, the point is I really like how expressive your work is and look forward to seeing more of what you do. Cheers!
