Sometimes I wish I could use my fingers to see. The textures of the human body are far more beautiful than the form they comprise, with all its slick contours and edges. Faces are round or angular but always composed of hairs and dimples and roughness and dryness and oil and dirt, even if your eyes cannot pull it apart from the whole. We are all made up of ten billion little pictures and little pieces, we are a puzzle, and our eyes put us together, but I find each piece far more interesting than the whole, and that’s why I wish I were blind and I could use my fingers to see.

If anything inspires you, be inspired, just tell the world so.

I love the jarring use of a trite holiday symbol, and your artist's comment about texture is powerful as well. How very, very interesting.

Leaving one eye partially uncovered was a great idea. This reminds me of the times when we take a perfectly good thing and embellish it to ridiculousness...too often...
Whatever your intention you have created a conversation piece...nice!

I just reread my comments on 'blind' and I hope you didn't get a negative impression of them. I meant that in society we take a perfectly beautiful human being and add makeup and glitter and superfluous crap until the thing is neither human nor beautiful and I thought I noticed this as an irony you wished to convey!

I really like this photo! *and many more of your works (so yeah I'm asskissing) but truthful.

haha, I know what you meant, but that wasn't what I was going for, so to speak, in that I wasn't going for an irony as much as I was a plead, for people to realize that their imperfections are what make them beautiful, not their plastic qualities. And feel free to do as much asskissing as you want :P, my gallery needs more favorites and comments.
